Pipe Lining, Sealing and Grouting

Many commercial properties were built with Cast Iron Pipe. That cast iron pipe has slowly rusted away resulting in many problems from simple backups to completely shutting down business establishments. In the past, the choice was to dig up the line and replace it.

Digging up small shallow sections of line is not the end of the world. However, many establishments require large sections of line or very deep sections of line to be replaced. Both of these scenarios require major disruptions to work flow, ugly construction areas in beautiful areas and dangerous environments when working so deep in the ground.

There is another choice – pipe lining. An Epoxy liner is an interesting process. First, the line is cleaned then the pipe is inspected with a camera to be sure that there is a full sized passageway. If all is good, then the lining process can take place.

CIPP cure-in-place pipe is inverted into the damaged host pipe with special equipment. The epoxy impregnated liner is inflated and allowed to cure. The result is a seamless smooth pipe.

As CIPP pipe does not allow for root intrusion or ground movement this makes for another great use of pipe lining. Homeowners & building owners who are constantly plagued with root intrusion or ground movement can use this process to avoid having this problem repeatedly.

Pipe Lining Benefits include:

  • Eliminates Root Intrusion
  • Stops leaks from infiltration/exfiltration
  • Seamless = no joints to leak
  • Smooth surface improves flow capacity
  • Renews pipe life to an estimated minimum of 100 years
  • Lower cost than traditional methods
  • No damage to foundation, landscaping, etc.
  • Re-lines virtually any pipe material
  • Repairs 2” – 10” diameter pipe
  • Allows replacement of underground pipes without major property destruction.
  • Saves time and money by using no-dig trench less technology
  • Keeps your business operating while performing necessary repairs.
  • CIPP pipe lasts as long as PVC pipe.

There are so many new technologies and procedures that YES provides in the area of rehabbing leaks in pipes, manholes and lift stations allowing ground water and sand to infiltrate the system by using different methods such as injection grouting, seal coating materials and polybanding devices makes repairs much less expensive then digging to expose the breached areas. Let YES assist you in these areas and you will save time and money.
